I almost got sucked into to the Twitter rabbit hole of discussions about the Trump attempted assassination event and discussions about line-of-sight, wind speeds, code red protocols and what the strange guy third from the left was doing. Luckily, I managed to stop myself, but judging by the staggering volume of tweets, hours long Twitter Spaces and expert opinions from alleged veteran snipers many dived into to this topic. My guess is that it is impossible to quickly come up with an evidence based answer to the question “to what extent (if any) was this event a set-up?”. For the reasons I set out below I don’t believe that the answer is that important.
In my last piece about the COVID “pandemic”, we covered the fact that there are different shades of grey between not letting a good crisis go to waste and actually engineering such a crisis1. Along that spectrum we have completely artificial events (the COVID pandemic and the Kuwait incubator incident for example), through to a genuine event which was deliberately steered (I suspect the 7th October Hamas attack fits in this category) through to completely random events. In most cases you need a clear beneficiary to make a strong case for a manufactured event. I suspect this event was probably “as advertised”, namely a lone and somewhat deranged gunman sloppily dealt with by a diverse Secret Service detail. The only obvious beneficiary of the event so far (given the miss) is Trump himself, but my guess is that the chances of getting caught would be too high to make this something that his team facilitated. The “deep state” angle also looks unlikely.
The most useful thing this event shows is that we are in the late stage of the U.S. empire. I have previously discussed Sir John Glubb’s Fate of Empires paper which charts a 250 year trajectory from the rise of an empire to its decline. I have summarised the various stages below.
This can be used as a approximate roadmap to understand where we are in the cycle of history. In describing civil dissensions in the Decadence stage Sir John Glubb states “True to the normal course followed by nations in decline, internal differences are not reconciled in an attempt to save the nation. On the contrary, internal rivalries become more acute, as the nation becomes weaker.” Now take a look at those internal rivalries in the United States as illustrated by this tweet from President Biden around two weeks prior to the Trump assassination event.
It should be fairly clear that this type of rhetoric is an incitement to violence since some citizens would see physical violence as a reasonable means of dealing with a “threat to this nation”. Of course President Biden displays stomach turning levels of hypocrisy by calling for unity immediately after the Trump event, but this just illustrates the stunning dishonesty of the political class.
The language coming out of the Trump camp is no better and also falls squarely within Sir John’s analysis “another remarkable and unexpected symptom of national decline is the intensification of internal political hatreds.” With this backdrop the appearance of one or more gunmen from a population of over 330 million is to be expected, the surprise is that their aren’t many more such nutcases.
We then also have to have an assessment of Trump’s anti-establishment credentials in order to assess any “deep state” agenda. I have not studied Trump in the same way that I studied obvious fake “anti-establishment” operation like Reform UK, but a quick look shows interesting similarities. The first main issue is funding and the huge amounts of money that are required to run a presidential campaign. Trump raised over USD 1 billion over the 2020 Presidential election cycle2 which means that a lot of big favours were provided by the uber-wealthy. This fact alone makes it unlikely that Trump is really going to be too independent of the “deep state”. He also gets wall-to-wall media coverage, even if a lot of it is negative, this fact is still a major red flag. We also know about his never ending attachment to the Operation Warp Speed mRNA gene therapy programme. In addition he included plenty of swamp dwellers in his cabinet, including Mike Pompeo, a major proponent of war with Russia and China and the former head of the CIA.
There is one more bizarre deep state link which is that Donald Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. is engaged to “left wing firebrand” Gavin Newsom’s ex-wife Kimberly Guilfoyle3. Now of course that could be an ex-wife delivering some serious revenge to her ex-husband, but also it could just illustrate George Carlin’s brilliant observation that “It’s a big club and you ain’t in it”.
Trump of course talks a great “swamp draining” game, in fact his address to Davos in 2020 was probably the best ever attack I have heard on the Malthusian Davos oligarchy. But as we educate ourselves on the deceptiveness of our political class, we need to recognise that what they say and what they do are often very different things.
If the U.S. is anything like the U.K. then the people who really would fight the establishment are people who you have never really heard of, who don’t raise USD 1 billion in funding and don’t receive any media coverage, positive or negative. I have a feeling, that Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai may be such a rebel?
Conclusion
Ultimately, I don’t believe that the details of what happened on 14th July are that important from the point of view of arresting the decline in the U.S. (and the U.K.) and they are likely unknowable in the near future. The only certain conclusion that we can draw at this stage is that this is yet another sign of late stage empire. If you believe, as I am increasingly beginning to believe, that Trump talks a great game but is likely to be part of the show, then there is no “deep state” interest in removing him. So I am going with the official narrative of a weirdo gunman, badly handled by a diverse Secret Service detail.
The challenge in the U.S. like the U.K. is to find and support the people that really will fight the avaricious and destructive Deep State. I previously set out some ideas about the road to recovery, which involves a number of long term and doubtless unpopular suggestions4. The current trajectory of an ever expanding and oppressive state in both the U.S. and the U.K. will almost certainly make matters much worse and the opposition that is handed to us on a plate is likely to be compromised, or even a complete charade.

Good article and an appropriate perspective of the event. The event itself, is not that important. The West as a whole is in a nose dive and destined to destroy itself in an age of absolute decadence where weapons paid for by taxpayers reign down on the heads of children...just not our children. Far away wars are much more palatable when they don't affect your Amazon Prime deliveries or your Friday night fish and chips.
I suspect we all can see the West is falling when those who lead us are octogenarian politicians or Trilateral Commission / Bilderberg / Davos fan boys who claim a political mandate on a very sketchy vote count, so this latest Trump episode is merely another addition to what has become a rather turgid story of societal decline.
I'm more inclined to agree with the assessment made by MiriAF. Trump has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and media refer to the event taking place on a 'stage'. I suspect what people witnessed was a well choreographed event, but I struggle with is the 'cui bono'. Trump will likely benefit with a rise in popularity but who else. Is the goal to have Trump elected and bring about civil war in the US, or to widen the ever-increasing gap between politicians and the electorate ensuring that when they push the OWG, the public cant get to their representatives or perhaps to further demonize Trump in suggesting he staged it himself? Many more questions arise and any hypotheses could be correct.
What did strike me as interesting though in considering this event as a False Flag was that it brought to mind a podcast I had watched featuring Ole Dammegard where it is mentioned that 'shoes' play a significant symbolic role in staged events......& Trump is heard several times asking for his shoes.

All the worlds a stage
The counter-sniper team didn't look very diverse to me.
