The ludicrous narrative pushed about the arrest and subsequent de-arrest of provocateur, Niyak Ghorbanii, provides an excellent window into the heavily coordinated operations of the “right wing” media (RWM) in creating and inflaming religious tensions. As many people now know given the wall-to-wall coverage, Niyak Ghorbanii inserted himself into an anti-war and pro-Palestine protest on 9th March 2024 in London while holding a sign stated that “Hamas is terrorist”. The content of the sign was of course accurate, even though the English grammar was highly offensive.
The RWM then moved into action starting with vaccine pusher Nana Akua on GB News airing the ludicrous claims that Niyak Ghorbanii was arrested for holding the sign. Clearly this is a ludicrous, since no law can be broken for holding a sign (unless the language used falls within the definition of hate crime). The Met Police were quick to dispel this nonsense with their own statement1 making clear that this was an arrest for assault following an altercation and subsequent de-arrest after reviewing video footage.
Notwithstanding the Met Police’s statement, the RWM continued pushing the “innocent man arrested for holding a sign” narrative, perfectly illustrated by this Sun cartoon2.
In a video that I posted on Rumble3, I showed some vital context to this event including;
Niyak Ghorbanii has pulled the exact same stunt many times in the recent past including one month ago in February with exactly the same outcome.
Niyak Ghorbanii is an attention seeker, with almost 60 thousand tweets on his account.
Niyak Ghorbanii is an Iranian activist who appears to have a deep-seated hatred of the Muslim regime in Iran and wishes to see the restoration of the monarchy.
There was an approved counter-protest in Victoria Street and Niyak Ghorbanii was free to make his protest there, but chose not to.
Five Pro-Palestinian protestors were arrested during the protest for public order offences, there was no real sign of two-tier policing.
No RWM outlet highlighted any of this very relevant context. Most of the above data can be gleaned from a 30 minute scroll through Mr. Ghorbanii’s Twitter timeline and perhaps a few hours of internet research. There is no way that any media outlet can credibly claim that they were unaware of these facts. The context almost completely destroys the RWM chosen narrative and this is why, I suspect, it was omitted.
